Hi,

Not sure if this is the right location for this question so, moderators, please re-direct as you see fit.

I was keen to understand how I could include a signature and avatar in my posts. Thanks to guidance from Faye I found out that I could do this by accessing the Profile option in the User Control Panel. I was using my (apple) IPad when I read Faye's reply to my query. I immediately found the "signature" and "avatar" tabs and felt silly for not finding the answer myself. Then, when I logged on to the Forum via my laptop, using Windows 7, I discovered that the signature and avatar tabs were not accessible, in fact they did not even appear as options. :dontknow:

Has anyone else found this or a similar variance between using a "Mac" type machine and a "Windows" machine when accessing the Forum?

Cheers,

I'm using Windows 7... and the option to edit a signature, or avatar... is available under the "Profile" option in the User Control Panel....

Might be something more to do with your iPlod... :D

Just for you Mantis

It's not so much the operating system, but the browser you are using.

PCs >> Macs

;)

Well seeing as I am using a Macbook and iPad and haven't had a signature problem changing I don't think its a mac or "iplod" prob Rupe ;-) But I have to agree with superveg its the browser some browsers don't allow the same type of features.

Macs >> PC

Hmm I can see that option in Windows 7: IE9 and IE10, as well as Chrome and Firefox on Mac OS X 10.7 and 10.8.

Most likely is that you didn't click on the "Profile" link :)

If all else fails you can try replacing that windows laptop with a real computer, I hear Apple make some good ones

Try pressing Ctrl + Shift + Del
Select cookies and temp internet files
Press delete.

If this doesn't work... I am out of ideas :)
Other than recommending you try Chrome

Thanks again everyone who has tried to assist. I haven't been able to sort out the Windows machine but have managed to produce both an avatar and a signature line from my IPad.

Hope you are as excited/impressed/deliriously happy/overcome with feelings of love as I am. :D

Cheers,

Marty (Pelican)
