10 for presentation

Not quite a 10 minute meal this time around.
Taste is probably better than the resraurants I've been to. 10 for freshness haha. You can tell I've been in the kitchen today, cameras and laptop everywhere and the place looks like a bombs hit it. Usual for a Sunday and tomorrow I will garden yay!

Faye should be on Master Chef! Just as good if not better than this recipe.

Advantage of fresh fish and produce from the backyard though :D

Thanks for the vote of confidence Macgyver but my calender is a little full. This morning I got an early eamil from a radio presenter who's gardening program I have been on a few times. He has asked me if I could do his show on the 27th April from 8-10 at Curtin 100.1fm, as he will be away. Naturally I told him that I would be honoured. :notworthy: Dear work on Saturday 27th April I shall be late getting to work at the shop. :)

I have been noticing the size of the silver perch swimming with my barra. When people ask "can you mix fish" I don't recommend it for a couple of reasons, and one of them is it is very hard to catch the one you want from the tank. They are not happy with me now as I had two nets herding one of the silver perch for lunch.
She has been living in my 500 litre sump/ drain/ fingerling tank since (I think) 2010. I have never really paid them all that much attention because I think of them as a little boring (sorry - but trout are my first love).

This one was 38cm in length and weighed in at 762 grams. Each of the fillets was around 125 grams and there was also roe, so she was a girl. and perhaps around 3-4 years old.

I dipped them in flour, egg and rolled them in lemon pepper before frying on the nonstick snadwich toaster, quick and easy.

I impressed DH -Eddy (dear husband) with my culinary skills and this plateful of food at lunch time.

This was my lunch. From pond to plate in less than an hour, got to be happy with that. The kitchen looks like a bombs hit yet again. Does anyone else as much mess as me?
The carcase and yesterdays barra head will be frozen to make "Orcy's fish stock recipe".
Another angle - I am practising my plating up and photography skills. All of my toes shots were too blurry, sorry.

I know this post wont appeal to all of you, but I know at least you will understand. I am sitting on the kitchen floor, a little excited, watching 2 soldier flies and wonderng why!
Quietly hoping they will get together
Banned the use of fly spray today, the children appear disturbed as I make my observations. Haha busted, landed on the wrapped fish scraps on the bench awaitind disposal. This is a first peoples. I just said to Eddy, I said, quick shut the door, I don't want you to let the flies out. He replied " you are wierd.

The passionfruit is doing very well and if it does half as well as the one in the ground I could be in trouble.

I'd like a bit Faye if there's some going. I was wondering if it would become invasive in a GB was thinking of putting some in my bathtub wicking bed to fight it out with the laksa and mint. Is that pumpkin flowering in that pic?
