The silver's were in shock this morning when their tank water dropped to 16C!! Only made it to 18C by the end of the day.

Starting to feel like trout season again

Yea we had a cold snap these last couple of days. Winter seems upon us here already.

wow, have we had some rain today nearly 48ml seems like winter in mid march and no trout.

while turning some pumps off tonight i had a look at the silvers by torch light. two surprises, 1 the water was absolutely crystal clear and 2 the silvers are are a tad round. At least they will have good fat stores for the coming winter.

Troutman came a calling this morning and delivered 34 trout and now its raining and the temps are falling - only 19C outside ATM .


It only seemed like yesterday when I harvested the last of the trout.

My aim for this season is no more obese trout (and 2 more grow beds - but don't tell the missus)

hahahaha... good to hear... Troutman is here at the moment, been here for ages now chatting.. Funny, because he was in the office here talking to me while a customer was buying some feed, they saw him and asked to speak with him, so now he's out in the shop talking to customers..

I had forgotten how good the run is up to there (it makes a big difference when you don't have complaining kids). Even the Missus was happy with the drive (came up through Quarading and Bruce Rock). She is now keen to go to Kal (she lived in The Isa for many years so she has a thing for mining towns)

Any time Marc, our doors are always open. We'd be mad not to go throw some nets in and have a feed of yabb's
