Hello all, decided to make an account as i dont seem to be able to see the wood for the trees so to speak!

I have access to a small holding of pasture land, somewhere around 2 1/2 acres. Within reason I can do as I please with it and so I'm intending to keep chickens and vegetables, that was, until I stumbled on aquaponics!

Ideally I would like to rear rainbow trout and whatever veg I can, as I have never grown anything before I would be looking for something hardy.

To me there seems to be a wealth of information and even though I have had a flick through the site I cant seem to absorb it all!

I would have thought with this much land if I go about it right I could become more or less self sufficient, thats the plan anyway!
