Hi. I don't know, he has some but I never asked him about trout because I don't like them. Best you ask him hahahaha. Any way in this weather you would need to keep them cool some how, my tank is at 25c today and that would kill trout.

So all the fingerlings Died after about a week in their new home:)
Have tried a a few lager fish in the IBC and they died after 2 days all parameters where good that I could see so I am guessing there is something in the IBC that is killing the fish. Don't know what was in them befor I got them:(.

So the solution is to put a pond liner in the IBC and see how that goes. I will also not use the grow bed or grow bed media, instead I will take 1 of the 3 grow beds on my larger system and use it.

The contaminated media will be washed over the winter by rain, I will take it out of the IBC grow bed and spread it on some netting and let the rain do it's stuff on it.

Sorry to hear about your fish losses, i know what I'd be doing with that IBC. I guess some sacrificial gold fish might be required next time.

I was looking at your photo's at the start of this post, I stared into your shed and i couldn't work out what sort of car that was. After all it has a tow ball :dontknow: :dontknow:

I was seriously tripping out until 2 minutes later i worked out it was a Goldwing or similar.

After my last disastrous try at a IBC system I now have a new and improved system in (I hope)
No fish in it yet.

The new IBC cut and cleaned.

Hole dug and prepared

Liner to line the IBC

The following are pics of the completed install just have to finish the top with mesh and tidy up.

Note: The grow bed came from my 3 bed system which had 1 to many grow beds on it.

20 Silver Perch if I can get some. Don't like trout so there being a shortage of them is not a problem for me. :D
