Mantis I had to disconnect as there was so much water going in it was lifting the strainer out of it hole. I ended up going down and removing the insect screen from the outflow pipe. Had a full 90 mm water flow coming out of the pipe. Did not want the tank busting a seam. The good part was all four tanks were full and before the rain I was down to half a tank. Cheers

A couple of pictures of my first lot of jade perch, these are not to clear but were taken through 1 metre of tank water. I think I have about 25 of these ones left. They went in as fry in December when I started the system up. Just for size comparison the PVC pipe you see is 90 mm and the fish are just swimming above it.

I have changed my water pump over to a Jabao Eco 10,000 L/H 120 W pump running 30 minutes on and 30 off.

Installed a Resun 60 air pump which I will be setting on timers to run during the water pump down time.

Best way of mounting the pump, they are very quite with little vibration.

and as the weather was still in the high temperatures I insulated the airlines. I use 12mm black poly as my delivery line and that fits nicely inside the pool spaghetti.

Thanks Muz had the basket for a few years and seemed an easy way to install.

Still waiting for Telstra to call back about the no show tech. Only been since 2 pm yesterday so not holding my breath as you just keep getting put from one Indian to another and no where does the buck stop. And of course Mr Robert is a good and favourite customer and yes sir we will call back because you are our best customer Mr Robert

Hi Bear,
Started reading this thread from page one and instantly regretted it as I lost half an afternoon's work. Been right through.
Great work, it's so nice to be invited into someone's space and have them share so much. Much appreciated, keep posting, I'm sure many others are enjoying it too.

Would love to know how much fish and veggies you're harvesting and of course I am a photo addict like everyone else on this forum.

Regards, Martin.

Hi martin thank you very much, the system has only been going since early December 2012 and I do not expect to harvest any fish until the end of this year. At the moment there are the original 25 jade perch that you see in the photos, 50 JP Fingerlings put in during February and 25 silver perch put in about two weeks ago.

Been harvesting Bok Choy , sweet chillies, butter beans. Silver beet and chard as well as plenty of leafy lettuce. The tomatoes have grown well but not really fruited. The weather since I started has been extreme with temperatures in the mid 40 c and then weeks of constant rain so a lot of the vergies are just left to soak up the nitrate.

This thread is to be a record of my journey with achievements and losses for all to see. Will be posting for photos soon just hope I do not have the internet drop out when I do, that is getting very frustrating. Cheers

Hi Rob just getting crap stuff during the day. Just enough that you can not set up a task outside. Some good rain at night.

Heading down your way on Sunday for Paul's demonstration, will be travelling with Blind Freddie. If there is time after and you feel like visitors for an hour PM or email me your address and phone number please
