I've have 2 ibc's connected with one bed on top of one of the ibc's. I cut the other before I knew what I was doing so I couldnt make 2 of them the same. I just completed a long wooden bed with a bell siphon that works great. I live along a brakish water canal so to save money I am using brakish water in the tanks. I have about 75 tilapia living and now that the temps are rising growing. I have tomatos beans lettuce and cucumbers growing. My tomatos plants are huge but no fruit yet.

I have a filter barrel and a sump barrel between the 2 ibc's and I have one pump running to the far tank through the 3 in pvc with plants growing in the water there. another pump runs to the bed on top of the close IBC and it has a bell siphon to drain into that ibc. all of the water drains out of the close IBC and through the raised wooden bed with a bell siphon back to the filter.
