Actually the cat would be the entertainment system. Yeah once a cat gets used to it it takes stronger drugs to knock it loopy.

fizzyj, yeah, they run about $40 US, which seems like it would be around $70 AU. Before we got the fountain my cat (who we got as a stray!) refused to drink from sitting water bowls and would howl for us to turn on the faucet so he could drink running water.

It's amazing the lengths you'll go to placate a being that won't listen to reason :)

By the by, I actually considered giving my cats access to my future AP system, but they way they eat the fish would all be gone in a day or two.

The carbon filters in the fountain turn green with bacteria and whatever after a week or so. Would this stuff kick start my AP system, or is a different set of gunk from aquaria?
