The book is available for pre-order at amazon.com. I also see the book listed at barnesandnoble.com, but it doesn't show the cover and has multiple authors listed. I'm pretty sure if you ordered it there, though, they'd ship it to you on April 2.

I would love to go swimming once the weather isn't threatening to turn icy again. At least I know my fish will be happily in the 50s in their tank in the greenhouse despite the frosty winds outside.

It certainly sounds like a handy reference book for a beginner... That they went with 'AP' related art, rather than the 'Idiot's Guide' yellow and black works for me.

Congrats on bringing it to fruition. Publishing is a messy business.

The yellow and black is from the "For Dummies" series. The "Complete Idiot's Guide" series has always had the orange cover.

The book is officially available for sale now, though I don't know if it's as easy for someone outside the US to order it as it is for us folks inside the US.

I did get copies sent to everyone who asked for a copy or who provided me assistance/pictures. If you think you should have gotten a copy and it hasn't yet arrived, let me know!

I've already heard from a couple of people outside the US that they found the focus on English/Imperial units off-putting. That was a decision made by the editors, questioning everything that might not apply to a US audience. Then again, they questioned a lot of what I put in the book (including information about Australian fish and everything that might take more than a weekend to slap together). I've already contacted the publisher about the metric concern and proposed three options.

So far there are a handful of reviews on Amazon. The only one star review so far is from a lady who bought the book believing it to have been written by Tim Mann and Susanne Friend. I'm pretty sure the Amazon website had changed that several months ago, but the Barnes and Noble website lists all three of us as authors when I checked a moment ago.

As I've already mentioned, I ended up having to drop a lot of photos, and my draft was still dozens of pages over the maximum allowable length. Feel free to tell me what things you are very disappointed I didn't include. In the event that we do an update, I may be able to juggle content to drop insignificant stuff and insert important stuff (like a metric equivalents appendix, at the very least).
