i have showed mated this and they are into aquariums and freak out with a high nitrate count and want me to do water changes etc... i still have small plants and lots of seed germinating... it will take care of itself

i have had some iron deficiencies, but have added some chelated iron and will add some more

i had my original air pump die earlier in the week, damaged beyond repair... and i think this rot was the aftermath of it. i have replaced the airpump

my system got belted by birds and they took most of the sprouting seedlings... so i added a bit of netting!!

Some nice green growth there mate. Ive got that same white stuff on my zucc's in the dirt garden, I thought it was a calcium build up from the retic but it looks like I may be wrong.

p.s. pretty pegs :whistle:

its been suggested that the leaves with the white on them may actually be butternut pumpkins... time will tell

a facebook contact posted a photo of one of his butternut pumpkin leaves and it was a pretty good match for shape and colouration.

I am a little hesitant about mixing to two, in case the fish nip the mussells tongues?
