Ok second day with system fish look like they started eating. just have 20 gold fish and four plants, small tomato and sweet pepper plants. I tried to catch some fish today at a local park not much luck, i want to use local fish if possible. system still functioning ok and changed camera setting so I should be able to ad some pics.

After two weeks of solid rain ready for some sunshine to make my plants grow

i know just wanted to start small and learn, my plants haven't grown much and hoping the sun will help. it has rained almost everyday since i got it going two weeks ago. i have another drum ready, basically doubling my growing area and can get more. i may build a box using frp.

week 3 not much growth but starting to see some.

Can you explain the system that you used with the piece of barrel at the bottom? was that used to protect the gravel at the bottom?

i used it to hold the piece of 4 inch drain pipe in place over the bell siphon. if you look at the second pic in the post you can see i used a small piece of coupling under the piece of drum, the rocks hold the piece of drum down. i was just looking for a way to hold that piece of pipe in place in case i had to get to the bell siphon.

been a while since i have been on here system is doing ok. ready for the second year. i added a couple of fence post to the growing system. i got them on sale for $6 ea. at lowes. they are working well mosly growing green onions in the.
