Great looking systems folks, I love the beds behind the shed.

I'm guessing you guys arent built like telly tubbies. I dont think I could fit down that narrow space beetween the GB's and the shed. it must have been fun carting the gravel into them.

Hi Jorgy,

We use a variety of pumps including 1,400 L/phr for the singles up to 4,500L/phr for the larger systems. The brand is JT HQB/JHQ (similar in design & function to Eheim). We've been running some of them non stop for almost 2 years now (they come with a 2 year guarantee) and they seem to be going okay.

I can see why the system on the north facing deck is your favourite. Looks much like a salad bar and would make a great food preparation bench. Nicely done :thumbright:

The north facing one was built as a privacy screen for our deck too - is there anything aquaponics can't do? :)

I love your systems too Faye. Very tidy and productive.

Apparently there are people that think it can't do a lot of things, but you and I both know that you get back from just about anything, whatever you put in to it, and a whole lot more. It's all about attitude.
What I love about it is how much it has taught me, the things I've learnt, the people I've met and those that I have inspired.

I was thinking that too, but I think its an optical illusion and the brown is a door at the end of the path :)

The brown you are referring to (I think) is the shed which spans the whole length of the IBC. It was a tight space (1.5m) between the shed and fence before the 1000L IBCs went in. I think that only leaves us with 50cm to walk through. You can still do what you need to with that though and yes, we aren't built like tellytubbies but lugging buckets full of gravel was still hard enough.
