What size fish support a grow bed?

Depends on the dimensions of the grow bed.... and how heavy it is....

Almost any amount. Once a system is cycled, the ability to provide ammonia out to plants depends on how much food is being used for the fish. Trout apparently take almost any amount of food, as do tilapia. so small numbers and sizes of fish will support more than other breeds.

You can use supplements, in modest amounts, along with fish to increase the amount of ammonia going through your system but do NOT do that in a non-cycled system.

I guess that would be a flat fish if the bed was too big....!!!
