time for anupdate veges going well amazed how well tomato and basil cuttings went also wicking beds in front yard going good even got some mushies from compost.
wicking beds were hole in ground lined with builders film aggie pipe covered in sand then weed mat then soil and mushroom compost then mulch . put in nov 2012 till now

i was told native grasses dont like wet feet and wont do well in wicking beds
nor do they like transplanting
first pic is 4yr old grass undisturbed(control)

next is grass replanted due to wicking bed constuction but not planted in wicking bed
