Hey here to post my system, haha well soon to be system. this process's was a long one mainly the research part. i would first like to thank all all the people who helped me on this forum and the guy who helped me with my leds! check him out! http://isled.surinternet.com/ (the site might be down hes creating it now)

so here it is its has a:
80 gallon fish tank for fish
2 grow beds 3ftx2ftx1ft
1 760 gph pump for bothgrow beds.
1 75 gph air pump
2 air stones (may need more)
stuff for afman bell siphon (still need to be built)
6x25 ft for dura skim 20kk liner for the beds (thats the only size i couldget with free shipping hahah)
lots of pea pebbles

stuff for leds
6 2ft heatsinks
4 veg drivers
2 flowering drivers
(some other stuff i need like screws/wall plug/ ect)

12 6 led mcpbc for veg (dont have them yet)
6 7 led mcpbcs

One question bikefast - with the system up and running, how are you going to get at your FT? From what you show it looks like your 2 GB's are sitting directly on the FT with no room to get anything in there short of picking up the GB's and moving them off.

I will be building a stand for them I will upload piCs tonight I was building it today! It will be about 1 ft above the tank!

you'll need to brace the growbed a little more i think.

you could try just a constant flood system to start with, easier than a bell syphon.

UPADTE---
-finished grow bed one! it is now ready to go except for the liner!
-made first bell siphon! worked like a charm and was pretty cheap! a lil under 20 bucks found everything i needed at home depot!
-received pumps and air stones
-leds should be sent tomorrow!
making gooood progress!

how should i start my plants? in rockwell cubes or soil or what? thanks!

My system is up and running! I added some reinforcement to the box and the legs. i also filled the box with my gravel.

my led lights are officially in the mail and should arrive on monday then i will build them then plant some plants!

i also have just a stock of romain lettuce growing in the system already!

I like your system. I am looking to build one with a 100 gallon stock tank so mine should be about the same size. are you going to be raising any fish? Type? What kind of light do you have on there now?

-upstateap I am just starting out with gold fish then will move to a fish that I could eat just working on finding live fish in Minneapolis. I have just a regular fluorescent bulb and metal thing. I am building LED grow lights they are in the mail!

PLEASE keep us posted as to the LED lights, I am very interested. I did check out the website (in French!) so since I do not know French, I sort of had to skip it.. can you share what you bought for lights and general pricing?

Yup I can do all of that! It was pretty spendy, but I was going for the long term life span and energy efficiency! It was around 700ish for the lights. Ill post the specs once I get on a computer. To translate just click the American flag in the right corner.

UPDATE
Sorry for the lack of posts phone and camera were being weird!

My grow beds are pretty much full of plants, i have:
cilantro
tomatos
peppers
oregano
mixxed greens
spinach
romain lettuce
beets
onions


My led lights are very efficient, about 33w per light strip, i have 4 light strips (veg). i will add 2 flowing led strips soon.

My tomato plant is like 6inchs tall and is producing flowers!!!! :)

ill post pics later tonight
