This was it this morning as I left the house. The barra have only been fed about twice this week. Lettuce self seeding snd it just has to run itself fior the time being. Plenty of cherry tomatoes and lettuce plus leeks basil and chives.

as Joel has said many times, it can take as much or as little time as you want. Same old story, you reap what you sow :)

You've certainly gotten your investment's worth...
Magnificent pictures...
Mouthwatering meals...
Great publicity for the system...
Terrific experience....
Interaction with your environment...
The adoration of the multitudes... [everytime I see a meal prepped from your system]
And you have imparted much wisdom for the development of our systems as we join the 'movement'.

Cool, and the joys of multiple beds, you can pull out a whole bed of plants, without worrying about nutrient loads.

Those grow beds look perfect, are they a special type of container? Where did you grab them from? And how much did they cost each?

You can also get clear or tinted plastic blinds if you wanted to make a greenhouse from a car port or patio :)

Ooh aaah, it has been more than a month since I posted. Yeah well you get that, hasn't been an easy start to the year and the system has had to look after itself. The last pic was Australia day and since then the fish have been lucky if they got fed at all.
I was planning to get to work a little earlier but when I fed the fish a mega load, they ate it all so I had to give them more and then take a couple of pics. Well you know how it goes.
This bed has filled out a bit in the last month and I have been snacking on fresh okra, yum, I love them straight from the plant. There are also basil, lettuce, chives, tomatoes and lemon grass in this pic.

I am guessing this is a chiili plant and the fruits are just starting to develop. If it is we may be eating lots of green coconut curries.

There is duckweed growing in one of my drain tanks and daily I scrape it off the side when the water level is at its lowest and thow a handful to the Silver perch in the main tank.

The goldfish in the solar system at the shop are such a delight to feed and have grown so fast that I felt the need to get some going and thought the drain tank was a great place to keep them. They cleaned up the floor of the tank in a week and now I get to enjoy watching them feed in the clear space as the water returns from two of my growbeds.

Love your work Faye. Just be carful of that one you say might be chilli. It looks more like deadly nightshade to me. It's a pest of a weed and deadly to animals or maybe just horses. My wife goes on about it and when it pops up I have to go around and eradicate it.

Also the photo of your sunflower is similar to a mystery plant I have growing in my soil veggie garden, I will be letting this continue to grow in the hope that I am right.

Hehe Bundy, its funny that you say that might be deadly nigtshade, you may be right. It is the healthiest one I've ever grown. lol When the berries ripen they are edible to us and chickens, so it is a bit of a furphy. Bird must have pooped it in, as they do :dontknow:
