Hi All,

I have not been here for sometime (lurked for a while, then moved to an apartment with no space for aquaponics  ), but I found this on Kickstarter and thought others may like it too!

HarvestGeek is a wireless monitoring, logging and sharing (optional) hardware and software platform, primarily focused for now on hydroponics systems.

That said, it looks pretty neat. Currently it includes sensors for: (Air & water) Temp, Humidity, Luminosity, Soil Moisture, PH, EC, CO2.

It is also open source hardware/software so it looks like it will be possible to integrate other sensors.

If we can just get oxygen saturation, ammonia, nitrite/nitrate sensors I'm moving to somewhere I can get a decent setup going!! ;)

The platform also claims to support notification and automation support for pumps, amound other things.

I think it is worth taking a look at the kickstarter page or website below if you think you might be interested ;)

Cheers,
Adriel.

These kinds of things have came up in the past. I personally dont like them because it takes the gardener away from the garden. Its all about creating a digital world. Dont get me wrong, I enjoy my big flat screen TV and tech toys but when I walk outside I just want to be with nature... not wires, buttons and lights...

I found that with my feeder ver 1.

I missed feeding them, so I stopped using it.

I know what you mean, but I guess I am a bit of a geek. I also like the idea of having comprehensive and accurate data that I can compare with results. It should make the process of improvement a whole lot more scientific.

The thought of collaborating with others who have the same types of data and are growing the same crops also has me interested...
