I was inspired by the images from 2 people. Dufflight and gnash06 .
Looking at those two, made me wonder - why do I not have one.
I think I've been drinking too much coffee lately, and it shows.

I'm on about 5 forums, but this is the only aquaponic one, the rest are fitness/bodybuilding sites. On the bodybuilding sites I use a flexing picture, (for the same reason people post pictures of their fish or plants here) or a picture of me when I was competing in "Figure" (a more feminine version of women's bodybuilding). But on here that would look really weird so I picked a face picture instead.

The avatar is a pic of the transport ship, Serenity.
From the series Firefly... and then, the movie, Serenity.

This series only lasted half a season. Fox (Faux to some of us Browncoats) both ran it out of order, wouldn't promote it, and essentially, pulled the rug out from under one of the best pieces Joss Whedon's done [prior to The Avengers , because seriously... that was some of the most delightful writing ever put to a big screen {He's adopted.]

I'm former military... and if anyone else understands the plight of the sergeant... It is Whedon. (he has never served... but he gets it.) The lead character is a former sergeant, trying to make a life for his people after a collapsed civil war. Imagine Spaghetti Space-Western... and you begin. After that... it is pure plot twist and great writing. It is on Netflix, or usually, in the discount rack at Fry's... well worth your time.

The quote, as stated, is from Mr. Universe... a frustrated little genius that moved out of mother's basement to build the most sophisticated computer lair ever...

If I'm gonna be in a chair, I might as well have a good one. Or at least dream about a good one.

I thought our new tricolor logo is inspiring whenever we see it published - fish and plants growing in perfect harmony together using water.

Aquaponics is an young science and most of us believe that it is science and technology at work. Aquaponics require more confidence in mother nature, an ecosystem, rather than a managed system requiring intense control.

I choose mine because Fishfood demanded to see a picture of one of my systems.

Time for a change I think... especially as I haven't had that system for about two years
