Steve is gearing up for another open garden in spring. He has previously opened as part of Australias Open Garden Scheme and the beautiful garden has just had growbeds and a yabby tank added to the existing fish pond. The garden is filled with mature trees and plenty of artwork. We will keep you updated as the date gets closer. Gardening Asutralia will be filming there later this month for the national TV show. Steve would love to add some trout to his fish pond and there are not many around he would love to get hold of a few to impress the tv crew, if anyone can help out in Perth, please let us know. :)

I am sure that it won't be too long before the beds are filled with herbs and veges and Stve won't have to worry about cleaning the pond out any more.

Is the bed underneath going to be used for yabbies??

How do you plumb them in to prevent overflow and to keep them full??

What an interesting yard.... :headbang:

We just keep them as still ponds for the yabbies, you can drop an air stone in there for summer, add a few water plants in pots, or duckweed to use up the nutrients and the yabbies breed like crazy in the warmer weather.. You don;t get a lot up to big size though, and you do have to give it a wash out every year or two.
