Ripping apart the buckled dirt garden was not fun
Still need to clean out the rest of the dirt but a lot did go into a 3/4 IBC dirt bed

Your mad man. Wicking beds are so easy to make and plants grow ten times better in them. You could grow a bag of potatoes in a bed that size.
Just fill the bottom third with large scoria, cover with shade cloth and then fill with dirt, drill an over flow hole at the top of the scoria level, Done

Yeah, you dont need to go all out with milk create and distribution pipes.

These are just the "premium" versions

If you wan to make a bit more void space in there. Throw a roll of ag pipe under the scoria. Or a bunch of 2 lt milk bottles with a few 6mm holes in each.

the plumbing has had a bit completed. the drains to the sump are all but done, and at the last minute we decided to sink the sump. Soooo we had to dig, its almost done just a bit more to go.

Once the sump is lower i'll hook up the drain and then finish off the SLO feeds to the growbeds and start running things. Fill the growbeds up with the stones from my first system, finish off the final growbed and fill that one up with hydroton and the others with scoria.
