I aquired this tank a couple of months ago, it is a 3000L conical bottom fibreglass aquaculture tank. The first new resident moved in today, he is about 500mm and 1.5kg and was from a batch of fry I bought last November and over-wintered.

I was a bit worried about him after i moved him because he didn't look very happy so I set up an ip camera so I could see him from my laptop and didn't have to keep going to check on him.

He looks ok now though, so some more of his friends can move in tommorow.

13 fish in the tank now - all overwintered from Nov last year and range from 0.8 to 1.6 kg.

I started with 17 fry and lost a couple due to cannibalisation early on and a couple from unknown causes at different times.

Part of the reason for the weight difference was that they were separated in 3 different tanks over winter and i only fed them as much as i could while still keeping the water acceptable.

Please excuse the logo at the bottom of the video, the camera above the tank is connected to a demonstration ip cctv recording system - it is recorded 24/7 whenever there is motion - This is related to my day job providing electronic security and surveillance. The system automatically puts the logo onto all exported video so that people will pay for the full version of the software.
