The support said that we were getting errors on the mackyard mags domain and they thought that was a probelm, I pointed out that it was the BYAP domain that was having the errors..

They said:

The only thing that would cause that issue as the saame error did come up per the logs, would be a corrupt binary of suexec. I copied the Plesk suexec at this time as your server is optimized quite well.

Which means nothing to me.. Damn those corrupt binaries..

Probably more likely to be a corrupted php.ini file.....

Just hit reply to a thread and the error message came up, shutdown the forum page and signed me out.had to bring the site up again and resign in. This is the most it has done to me for a few days other than not being able to stay signed in over a period of time or is there a time limit that you can stay signed in for now.

I just got the error message after typing in a reply and lost the message but didn't get booted off the site.

I remember we used to get the occasional dropped reply, I wonder if they are related.

I had a error-free run yesterday. *grabs wooden table* :D

Rather than lose posts I use Chrome as a browser. When posts 'vanish' in Chrome you can click the 'Back' button and there it is in all its glory. Firefox does it as well but it got a bit memory hungry for my liking so I moved away from it.

Worth swapping and both run faster than the MS Internet Explorer.

Had hours of downtime this morning for me...

Server 500 errors should show up in the php_error.log file which on my server is here: /var/httpd/logs/php_error.log

I would also suggest installing New Relic monitoring on the server, this allows easy drilling down of errors to see where it is happening and what the deal is.

It's easy to install, and really makes a big difference.
