25-30cm Barra for $10 a piece at Golden ponds.. :headbang: You really can't argue with that, so even though we only have a short summer, they are already close to harvest size, so they should be beautiful about 3-4 months when the trout are starting to come on..

ours are now averaging around the 5 to 6 inch mark after about 2 months but seem to have more than I bought somehow 40 ended up in the high 60s though I think around 10 have not made it so far due to varying reasons, now have 58 between my two systems, counted them on Tuesday when I shifted the larger ones to the big tank

I got my barra from GPonds, they were a bit knocked around but they are a good size, some must be up around 40cm

I got them from the "spawn shed" my barra were shy as hell for ages, i covered the tank up and they are finally starting to really feed up big now.

There would be every chance Frostyboy. I have seen 20cm barra with another of the same size between its jaws, however both did live to tell that tale.

depends how much you feed them. if you let them get hungry they'll eat each other the larger ones will probably hog the food though

Would 5 barra this size survive in a 50L esky without aeration for 20-30 mins?
