Yes, I've already got the gist of a design for my own with some Rubbermaid totes, PVC and some 3M boat adhesive.

So, can't use the leachate at all in an AP system, huh? It's all good. The grubs are what I'm after.

Also, I'm USAF stationed in Germany, but I move to north Virginia in April. I want to get things up and running as soon as I get a yard, which is why I'm putting so much thought into it. Eventually, I want to go commerical, grow roses, ginseng, and just sell my tilapia.

I will post mucho pics and video of my triumphs and failures for all to see! :headbang:

Will be following with great interest. Looking forward to updates

So, I dilute the leachate...yay. What do I use it for, if not in an AP system?

I've heard I can:

- Simply pour it over soil-planted plants so they'll grow.

- Dilute it and use it as some sort of insect repelent spray.

However, after poring over resources I've found nothing on the possibility of storing for later use. I thought of storing leachate in ice trays in a freezer (not my food one, of course), then dropping the leachate cubes into buckets o' water prior to use.

Any thoughts on these leachate tidbits? :flower:

i'm no leachate expert, but i think that it does contain some micro-organisms that would probably die in the freezer..
as far as uses, i've not used it in any way myself, so have no comment :dontknow:
