I like A0+ idea. Is it possible for you to drill out that 1/2" fitting in the bottom and install a 3/4" fitting with a flange on the inside? Then put an elbow or something on it (pointing up) and fill in some more concrete in the bottom of the ring/growbeds? The flange helps hold the fitting in and also helps seal it when the concrete is poured around it.

Cheap epoxy method: certain types of packing peanuts disolve with a little bit of gasoline, making a sticky epoxy like mixture. No idea what you have available as far as sealing caulk, just a sort of cost saving measure that is possible.

Then paint the inside of the ring/growbed and see if it leaks.

Just don't give up. You've worked too hard and come too far to give up now.

On first thought - can I have that tank in your avitar? I could really solve the problem. LOL

Yes, I too have thought of drilling the 1/2 out because I think it is too small for a drain. All of my other plumbing is 3/4. The flange shounds like a good idea. Would real epoxy do the job and seal the leak?

My only problem with more cement is weight. I don't trust the strength of the irons in the bottom. Two 1/8" rods at a 45 degree to each other. Maybe ok if I just mix up cement with waterprofing and render the whole inside of the GB including the floor and cover the flange with a good coating.

I have raised the GBs/cement rings up to 3 bricks in heigth. Approximately 30 cms. Now I am sure to have enought heigth for the GBs to drain well. I have also decided to drill out the old drain/or just made another one since this one is easy to close off by screwing in a plastic plug. I will then up the size of the drain to one inch since I read in many places that the drain should be larger than the incomming water line. All time consuming and I still need to know how to seal PVC pipe going thru cement so that it does not leak.

At present I am getting my weeping beds and raised, dirt beds back in production. I had almost destroyed all of my gardens when we cut the big trees out. I planted nothing for the last six months - not good. I also did more landscaping and work on the large pond to be. To much work spread out too much for one old man and one part time helper. Anyway very soon AP will be worked on full time until running again.

You should be able to get everything you need in either Global House or Home Pro. Have a good look around and don't accept "Mai Mee" for an answer from the staff (most of them have no f$%^*cking clue about what they have). Only talk to the manager to not waste your time. Isaan is indeed a ........ challenge for a falang. There are many ways to seal PVC pipes in concrete. Just google around a bit and you will get more answers than you can digest. Chok Dee!
