Probably,

but I tend to just toss in anything I think might do OK and see what happens, record the results with pics and notes, and generally have fun. I have corn, amaranth, and beets sprouting among the onions, carrots, celery, chard, wheat, kale, peppers, and tomatoes....

I'd probably be more successful following the moon cycles, etc, but this is a fairly harmless form of rebellion from daily life's structures...

I have grown garlic successfully and am growing a few different varieties at the moment for these root bulb crops i just lower the drain/overflow pipe to stop them getting wet feet... that way their roots travel down to the water level and the bulbs dont get waterlogged

celery, spring onions ,leeks beets and all of these types of plants work better with a lowered water level.... I am just about to try arrowroot bulbs and tumeric

Garlic does have a health benefits but planting in AP is not practical because of the length of time to grow. The goal is to have a maximize use of your grow bed and which type of plants is best for cleaning up your culture water.

Given good quality and heirloom garlic can cost from $15 to $30+ a kilo, growing garlic is very worthwhile.

Also, garlic only requires about a 10x10 cm square to grow. So I can get about 100 plants in an ibc growbed.

Edit to add that fresh home grown garlic is amazing.

If you want to planting garlic with AP system, then you should go for garlicfarm site here they will provide whole instruction about how to planting garlic with AP system. The main thing is that the best time to plant garlic in bins is mid-October...

Huh... why would I plant garlic in bins... if I wanted to plant it in an AP system....

And why would I go to a "garlicfarm" site.... when I can just ask people on the forum if they've grown it successfully....

P.S.... many have...

Garlic is great in AP. Never grows this big in the dirt.

You would need a big garlic crusher for that one

So, how do you start garlic?
From seed, from a plant, from one of the cloves?
