I'd like to publically flog the dopey bastards that released them in the first place..

I think there is a guy in FNQ that actively promotes the fish (and releases them into streams etc)

I don't know who he is. A mates old man is involved in the industry and may have been involved in trying to find him, I think he has been reported etc but there was probably a "burden of proof" issue.
What can ya do

The fact is now its just to late to do anything reporting someone will have no effect on whats already in our waterways.

The only help any of us can do really is go fish for them and kill the bastards but even then its only a small dent.

True... in that sense... but someone actively "promoting" them... should be highlighted IMO...

Yes, if legal methods are impossible, he should be subject to social punishment.

If not so biased at times, I see this as an excellent role for programs such as ACA and the like.

Name and shame.

Of course those programs should also be named and shamed, when they take things out of context, or simply lie.

It's a bit late now,The gascoyne and Fitzroy rivers are full of them and I think a few other northern rivers as well.It is like trying to stop the cane toads.If you bring them south you have to keep them in a heated tank during the winter or they will die.
