Hahaha I think Rupe gave me some motivation b/c today was my first full day in regular shoes with no crutches... Just a bit slow! :D

TC I don't remember off the top of my head, I think about a quarter each

Trying to semi-level a spot in the yard above my fish barn (before the grade) this weekend to start building a quarantine system and purging system. I already have all of the tanks and plumbing for it so at least I can get started plumbing something! :)

Trying to buy my next fish culture tank for the big system this paycheck so still moving full steam ahead!
Choooo Chooooo!

Thanks Rupert

The end pannels are now up and I will have the fish building roofed and hopefully walled by the first!

Are those end panels retractable/windable Ryan???... looks like perhaps they can be velcro'd up... :dontknow:

Not sure of your location... and/or wind patterns... but the ends offer a large surface area to strong winds... and might benefit from some vertical bracing in a couple of places....

Florida is known to have a few gusts now and then... Californians look at Florida and say "too many hurricanes!" Floridians look at California and say "too many earthquakes!"

Lol yea screw the earthquakes! At least with a hurricane you can see it coming days out and make the decision of hurricane party or leave.

Ah, but California is on the right side of the uplift vs. erosion equation. I won't be underwater when all the ice slides or melts into the ocean.

How did the new greenhouse ends fair through yesterday's winds?

Thx Rupe, I definitely plan on putting up some 2 x 6 bracing b/c I'm building in a doorway and tunnel connecting the fish building with the greenhouse, just haven't gotten there yet. Right now I'm just leaving them opened up so they don't blow around to much.

TC- they did just fine. Of course it's been windy as heck since I put them on but I hear we might see the 30's on Friday so my tropicals will be happy :).

Saw organic lettuce mixes at the grocery store that were 5oz for $6.99...flying off the shelves! Over 20bucks a pound for lettuce... Can't wait...I'll do it for $18 ;)

Coldest night of the year so far... It's 11:48pm here and both of my cars are completely iced over. I have the greenhouse all closed up with my tropicals in there so we will see how they fare. Just went down there and it's holding in the low 50's so not too bad so far (30 outside).

Didn't get frosty here. I may be seeing some benefit from Lake Harris (Yalaha is nestled into the South side of the lake)

I haven't been out to check on the plants yet though.

Having the nice big greenhouse covered up is handy when you got lots of tropicals. Are you going to be doing any sort of heating for it?
