apparently breeding them is really easy. might want to pinch off the claws on your breeders though.

The problem with that is that the stronger pincher might then make dinner of the pinchee. If you just liberate them both of their claws to begin with you should be good.

There is no need what so ever to pull limbs to prevent attack and cannibalism. OMG.

A few simple rules..

1. Stock accordingly. 7-8 per 1m2.
2. Provide hides.
3. Grade and separate.
4. Tie the claws of aggressors with elastic bands if needed.

This was specifically for the purpose of breeding them in tyres as per the other link I guess bands would work

Im a bit sceptical about the tyre thing. Id be surprised if it was possible to breed this way let alone keep yabbies this way but anyways I believe in this situation attack would be minimal because they can burrow and have no need. Attack and cannibalism comes hand in hand with over population and domination.
