Can someone point me to a high quality chart that details where ammonia and nitrate levels become problematic vs temperature and PH... or even a spreadsheet with conditional formatted cells that go red when the levels are dangerous... and yellow for when they are marginal.... I know I dont want much.

You could always dig the tank down into the ground a bit...

(Says he who doesn't have to do the digging :) )

thanks faye.... looking at chart now and based on my readings

Ammonia 0ppm
Nitrite 2 or 5 ppm (very hard to tell, probably 5)
Temp 26

I assume my TAN (guessing thats the combination of ammonia and nitrites?) is 5 (or greater as the scale is maxxed out) and at a temp of 26 the max is probably 3.4 at a PH of 7 which means I am not in a good place???

OK so TAN is just ammonia... so anyone have a link to safe nitirte limits vs temp and PH? they dont appear in the IBC of AP guide.

Nitrite is not really related to temp and pH... like ammonia...

Nitrite toxicity affects the blods ability to intake oxygen.... resulting in too much nitrogen in the blood... akin to "the bends" in divers...

A level above 1... should be adressed by salting to 1ppt....

Thanks mate. Already salted to 2PPT and last nights readings at 21degC are all pretty much zero. How weird.
