Best aquaponics gift for christmas would surely be the new family system. Imagine being able to have 4 growbeds of vegies and two separate fish tanks to do the all year round silvers and a tank to do seasonal Barra and Trout. Oh and the ability to add an extra growbed(all up 5) if you had the space. Why wouldnt you?? I wish I had power on my farm

I'm going to ask for a glass hole saw, want to make a two aquarium system but it's not ideal if you can't put holes in the glass.

I bought my "Magic Vac Maxima" in 1996 it's been used almost dayly since then I bought some of the Canisters along with it and they have been wonderfull and moste used.

Iff or rather when it stops working, I know wich one I would buy (again)

i saw the vacuum sealer recommendations in this thread and have to suggest the sinbo.

The unit uses regular bags so it costs a fraction in bags over its lifetime. I have beaten the unit I own up re packing items from costco/sams and it works great to this day. It comes with an extra sealer wire but i still om on the original one. I also like that its easy to open store bags then reseal them in the original packages. I got mine from dougcare website with a bunch of bags for about 150. If I was to repurchase it I would just go with a roll of the 10 inch bags instead of the assorted pouches.

Fantastic Arbe , pretty exxcy but a really nice product.
So far we've done topside roast , pickled pork , roasted and smoked eggplant , capo's and chillies into a pretty fine dip , sausages into a paella even the cheap arse stoopidmarket sausage become a really nice beer snack.
And of course trout , for our first effort my son said it was the second best he had had , behind Buxton Trout Farm , (sorry Gav ). Bit more experimenting and we'll nail it. Probably 1/2 everything on the bradley website for smoked trout. Gonna fillet some more up this arvo and have another go.
Being digital control for both smoke and temp is pretty handy and versitile from drying fruit to making jerky.
Next time I dress up a hogget , gonna take of some leg steaks and give the jerky a go.
