Looking good helomech, when does winter start for you guys and how cold does it get?

It already got some frost this year. Usually around the end of October it starts getting cold. Coldest months are January and February, and I have seen it get down to about 14F -10C for over a week.


I will have to re straighten the bricks before I pour the concrete, they are getting a little out of whack.

Well almost done with the temporary greenhouse. Just have to pull it tight in a few spots. I am trying to not make any cuts in the covering because it is large enough to cover the entire structure when I get it finished.

It is further along than in the pic, I took care of all the extra covering laying on the ground on the back side.

Thanks guys, feels like such a waste to spend so much time and energy when this is only for this winter.

At this moment it might feel like a waste. But when winter hits and the plants and fish are safe and you have a place to hide from the rain, know that all your hard work is not in vain.

Some times you gotta do what you gotta do to keep things going until you can do it right. Consider it a practice run.

Your "temporary" is about as good as my "permanent" would be. Good work!

LMAO, my permanent one will be made of steel, and will have polycarbonate roof panels.

I am just a poor mechanic. That is why this is not finished after a year of building. If I had money it would be done already.

I hope we both mean "poor" money wise, and not career wise :p
