Just a quick hello. I have been studying Aquaponics for a couple years now and finally took the leap of faith and started my first "trial" system today. Very excited.

Thanks everyone. I spent the last 2 days buying all parts and I built the system out today.

Everthing went smooth except the bell siphon, it started but wouldnt drain lower than the internal drain stand top. Searching suggestions now.

Hi drizzle,

Auto syphons can be a bit finicky sometimes, the best way to think about it is if the syphon wont start you need more flow, if the syphon wont stop you have too much flow. Having said that, if you are constantly playing with the flow to get it right there may be an issue with your choice of pipe sizing.

Have you got any pics of your design? We might be able to pick a flaw to better help you.
