 Post subject: Coins in AP tank.

So what would happen if you left a coin in your AP tank for a few years? Something a bit like this.

The coin is quite a lot smaller in size, it's noticeably thinner though it's hard to tell from the picture..

From this side you would almost have no idea what it was.

This side you can still make out the surface reasonable well.. The coin weighed 1-2 grams less than an original, this may not sound like much but a normal one weighed 11-12 grams, while the fish tank coin was 10g.

Oh and I have no idea how long it was in there, probably about 5-6 years, and wouldn't recommend people put coins in their tank.. :)

That's an Aussie 20 cent coin with an egg laying mammal known as a platypus for all the international folks who might not be familiar with an Australian 20 cent coin.
