I know it's a bit wrong, but I can;t help but get a smile out of stories like that..... The old, "just when you think things can't possibly get any worse..." stories, love it...

Good to hear your still moving ahead with AP.. :thumbright:

Think of it as a fresh start. It really is liberating when you think about it right?

you guys probably wont believe this but a funny thing happened about a month ago. I had a slack day and being a plumber gasfitter etc i thought it was a good idea to use the time to replace a section of the roof of my house. It is a 100+ year old queenslander and i replaced the battens. I started laying the sheets down and and then it started raining. So i went to climb down off the roof. As i walked up the ridge i lost my footing and slipped, i slid 5m down a 45 deg slope out 3m and then dropped 7 m. I landed on a stack of corrogated iron and managed to snap the outlet pipe of a 5000 lt tank. I couldnt get up or walk . No one was home and my neighbours live 100m away. The doog wasnt even around. I had my phone in my pocket so i dialed 000. i gave my address etc and then the questions came house or unit? Please repeat the information. How old are you? Im 99 if it means you can get an ambulance here quicker. Im in extreme pain. I said dont worry i think i can crawl to the ute. So i hung up and tried to crawl but could only move 1 arm. I phoneed back and said im sorry can you send a ambo. So The ambo arrives and its my mate who i got into aquaponnics and he has a good system. We chat about fish and plants as we drive the 45k to hospital. So i wind up in hospital bed with a fracture right tibia and heel complete with 3 plattes and 15 screws. Fractured left tibia and a hole in the kneecap bone graft from my hip to fill the hole plus 2 plates and 4 screws. Then fractured right scapula, clavical and 2 ribs oh and a fractured sternum. So im home now with a brace and a boot. No work insurance and im self employed. The worst thing is i cant get to my system to check it. I have been wheeling my chair to the window and shouting instructions to my son.

oh does anyone know a good way to get rid of aphids.

OMG you poor thing. So sorry to hear about your accident. Umm for your aphids - try some ladybitds, you can buy them online. Take care.

I have had my fair share of pains. And always looked beyond the pains. The worst one was when I crushed the 7 pieces of bones in my wrist. They could not do anything for it, just had to walk around all night long. And sure took its time to get better!! Few shots of good old North Carolina Moonshine was helping a bit.

I am glad that not only your mind set can take it, but also you got good vision. And it seams you are tough enough. That is a blessing by itself!
Just hang on body. Only the first 100 years of this life is too tough!!

well i had a bumber week. the wife left me . two days later i get a call saying they are not renewing my contract, in short out of a job. oh well, next day the wreckers guy turns up in a tillt tray truck to remove a car in my back yard. on the way in the drive the truck hits my aquaponics set up and shunts the whole set 300mm . drains snaped off water everywere. im fumming , he gets out the truck and he has a prosthetic leg. i didnt get up him cause i felt sorry for him and well whats he going to do to help me fix it anyway. i have four bath tubs filled with gravel and water on a trampoline frame. i have a jack under it and trying to jack it level so i can get a packer under it. the jack gives way and my finger is trapped under about 750 to1000kg of metal and gravel. so my finger is trapped im home alone and my dog is busy trying to lick me to death. i had to work the jack with one hand and release my finger. I freed the diget then had to go looking for the car keys while the dog cleaned up the blood trail. lost the nail fracctured the finger got home and realised i had left the pump on. result burnt out pump $350.00. next day i wake up 8 fish are dead. friday so into town to buy a new pump $280.00 sunday the pump is not working burnt out Moday i buy another pump $190.00 bring it home and as i swap it over i see a rag caught up in the pump. i free the rag and the pump is fine, so i have just spent money on a pump i dont need. I have 600 lettuce seedlings ready to go. apart from that everything is cool. when shit like this happens i say yeah just throw it at me and dont skimp on the jalapenos.
cheers .

Congratulations on such a well dealt with week.

Kiss the dog, hug the tow truck driver and ask him to do a delivery to your wife. Make sure she's directing the truck.
