Anybody here with Skype? Its the way to go for those who are slow on the keyboard.You can talk for free to anywhere in the world for as long as you like as long as both people have a computer with a MICROPHONE. aND IF YOU HAVE A WEBCAM (gee I hate caps lock don't you?) you can see who you are talking to. I have a son who wintered in Antarctica a year ago and with Skype we were able to keep in contact. As well for the hearing impaired such as me it is wonderful to hear my grandchildren talk and even sing when I have trouble hearing anything on the phone. This is not an ad for Skype by the way I just thought it might be interesting to perhaps have a conference via the above or just have a chat. The drawback is that is not recorded as this portal is which makes it great for searching for stuff.

I've got skype. Used it to speak to the US 3 times this morning over a mucked up shop order. Very handy

For overseas telephony it is good...

For video conferencing... MSN and the older "netmeeting" are just as good
if not better... "virtual" whiteboards and file sharing...

.... and free, apart from broadband costs of course LOL

I have used yahoo messenger to talk to my brother in Canada (and webcam) - that's about as far as I have gone.

We also have skype, very handy for speaking with the NZ and English relies.

skype kicks ass. been using it for years now. its especially good if you like that little bit of extra privacy. msn is a hackers paradise imo.
