Does anyone know anything about the root system of a Moringa Tree (also known as Mulunggay Tree)

Does it have invasive roots? Will in grrow well in Perth Australia?

Also coud it be grown in aquaponics if kept trimmed to a small size?

I'm growing it in my system. It's roots grow more down for drought tolerance. I do not know enough about Perth climate to know if it grows well there. It grows well enough in San Diego. The nursery that I got it from grows it in greenhouses. The owner said to expect it to go dormant in winter. She specializes in moringa, so I suppose it's the case. My plant has lost all of its leaves, only to grow back, a few times. Keeping it small is not difficult at all.

That was the first time I saw that video though. I planted it because I thought that it might be good for smoothies and such. I have only gotten one smoothie out of it so far... Time will tell.

Yes Ao+ finding ways to combine it with meals is a good idea since it would be quite boring and bland to eat only Moringa Leaves.

In terms of weight and density, I wonder how much Moringa leaves one would have to consume compared to other foods.

For example Moringa leaves contain 2 times the amount of protien as yoghurt. I'm not sure but I think yoghurt is more dense than moringa leaves. If one was to consume 100g of yougurt then only 50g of moringa leaves will give similar nutritional benefit if not better. How many moringa leaves would be equal to 50 grams though?

The advantage of moringa leaves is the fact that they contain all the essential amino acids and are rich in vitamins and minerals so it is close to a complete food.

It would be interesting to see what 50 grams of moringa leaves looks like on a plate.

How to make it enjoyable? Moringa, cheese, and tomatoes in an omelette? Or add leaves to a salad. You probably aren't going to be eating them by themselves... kinda hard to get them on a fork! :D
