I'm no expert on Tilapia but the first pic looks like you got one

Make certain to check if you need a permit for these in Florida (sorry if it's already been mentioned). I'm thinking you're not allowed to posess any that are alive except Blue Tilapia but I'm not sure.

Very very very nice going Eddy, looks like a great system and you'll probably never have problems with all that additional filtration.
Did the LMB make it to the FT or did he go to the table?

I went out fishing again today but only had a few hour to fish and was not able to caught any tilapia today. I will be going out tomorrow again, i had one more sunfish die today down to 15. Hoping for blue tilapia as it a bigger growing type



Yes the Bass is in the FT my friend wants to eat, so were letting it purge for a week. The sea is about 11-15 miles from me too. But here my canal water is not that great, i bet it's high in mercury (the fish) then fish from the sea.

Update, I update the water/air pump housing. Add-it the fan's to the bottom & the power strip too. Now air flows in from the bottom & the top sides.here some pictures.

Eddy, Eddy, Eddy. Please put some connectors on the exposed wires. At the very least, use some electrical tape or something. You reach up under there and you'll not be feeling very well afterward. We'd like to keep you around for a bit longer.

Thanks iammr, i will but it's only 12v at a very low amp. I can hold them and not feel a thing.

Woah, Missing stuff Guess i will add it back so here i go.

I had to replace the filter pads on the filter drum, it got close to over flowing. So i went with a 7"x16" 300 micron filter sock to replace the filter pads. That will go good with the 7"x32" 200 micron filter sock at the reservoir.

















Here the water test i did, on the Hanna meter blue one is ppm at 241ppm. The red one is the Ph meter and it's at 7.28Ph. I did get the nitrate test kit to go with my old master test that did not have it





And i needed wood to start the GB build about 6 hours later

I want get some thing's done today, so i need some ideas. I will be using or have 1"x4"s, 1"x6"s 3'-4' long see above & below pic.. too. Got some new 2"x4"x8' & 1"x2"x8" , and some bricks. I put together some ideas we got plan A,B & C? Help would really be appreciated

Maybe running the 2"x4" at the bottom and adding a lip around the top part of the drum.?

So i was maybe going 2 brick height would be a good height for drain back. Should i add bricks at the mid.. too? The bottom framed out like an H & then frame out the the top of the 55gal. drum. Here is a better lay out picture of were its going be build at.

The plan you're using looks OK and the height should be good as well. I'm a little concerned about the weight in the middle of each span and I do think you should support there. I think the 2 X 4s' will sag over time if you don't add the support..

I think sometimes the barrels are oriented 90 degrees to the direction you have them and I believe this is for stability and also access to the ends which are easier to plumb. Since I don't use blue barrels it's hard to know if this is really necessary for stability - it would be worth investigating if you have kids around.

Thanks Scotty well do, yes i will be adding support to the middle. I hope the height should be good too Looks to be a little over 12" above the top of the reservoir. I need to even out the bricks and add rocks to the foundation, maybe 6" to 8" deep of rocks. Am done for today, here's what i got done for today.

are you going to run each half with an individual standpipe and drain? or somehow interconnect ?

get a bit expensive to run fittings off each,

Am planing an using individual standpipe & drain. Using uneseals, i have have few idles floating around.

Here a picture of the 3/4" uneseals about 14 there, that i well be use for draining.
