I'm still in the build phase of my system but I figured I would make a thread and share the journey.
I'm going for a 3 GB CHIFT PIST system which will be made out of 3 IBC's. If you have any questions or comments feel free to leave them either here or on YouTube.

Day 1

Day 2

Excuse me if I miss something I've said, but I didn't have time to watch the videos in entirety.

Obviously a full cycle is best, but if you are keeping with your first layout, have u consider taking that return pipe from tank and running it straight into the center grow bed. I know this will put more solids load on the central growbed, but at least you won't be pumping poop water back to the FT. The other two grow beds would then act purely as bio filters... Just a thought.

Also, what volume of water are you pumping per hour, and what percentage do u think is going to the FT?

I see what you mean. The water flow from the FT into the ST is much much faster than the flow that goes to the grow bed at the moment. If I was to put a tap on it the FT would most likely overflow.

The pump is 3000L p/hr I have the 3 GB's on tape that are each opened about 1/4 of the way. Based on the flow speed I would guess that around 40% of the water from the sump gets returned back to the FT. I will do a quick measure over a couple of seconds and compare it to a GB over the same time.

My AMM RITE RATE Levels have been steady over the past month at 0.25, 0.0 and 0.25. I might convert to a gravity feed in the future but for the time being I'm fairly happy with how it's running.
