And the final product.
Painted it but was too dark to take pics. Tomorrow I will finish other one and weld some pieces of angle iron onto feet to distribute weight a bit.

Thanks for the pics :wave1:

Man, I have never seen a welder like that before, those older ones are bullet proof, I've got an old dinosaur stick welder in the shed that never lets me down.

Looks like a beautiful area you live in.

The old stick welders is alot better than this new DC inverters, I have an inverter at work and I only use it for TIG welding, for everyting else I use the old AC welders.

If you think thats beautiful you have to see the farm that I work on. Go visit www.delaire.co.za and check some of the pics there.

Jaco I would put some support down the sides like this..(see photo) Once beds are full of gravel they want to buckle all over the place.

Thanks for the idea, chainsaw. I might use some thin angle iron.

i was going to say the same thing as chainsaw.. looks great, but you'll need support in the middle of the barrels, or they'll start to bow out

When I filled them with water they started to bow at the sides in about 5min, at first I thought to put treaded rod trought the middle to hold the sides in but chainsaw's idea is alot better and easier.
