Your wish is my command..... 8)

(Sorry about the poor quality. Was too lazy to get the camera, so these came from my phone)

As a (sort of) size reference, the T-Piece at at the bottom of the tank is a 40mm PVC coupling.

Thanks rsevs3, Dan.

I think if i'm not careful, i'm going to have either very fat trout, or water levels way off the chart. I fed them this morning and was having too much fun watching them hammer the food as I threw it in.

They certainly got there appetite back after the move yesterday.

Not quite ready to feed the whole family, but my son liked them (the beans anyway).

I thought it was time I should post an update.

We have managed to pick various beans, snow-peas, chilli's, spring onion and capsicums off the system, although not in any large quantity. Unfortunately the cabbage, lettuce, cauliflower, and broccoli that we planted got decimated by snails and caterpillars.

I couldn't work out how the plants were getting eaten so much when I couldn't find may bugs. Turns out the snails were hiding in amongst the spring onions, without actually eating them.

I'm trying to get the planting to a point where we can keep things cycling through, but its not there yet. We recently cleared out the remains of the decimated plants, and have put in fresh seedlings, including strawberries, tomatoes, celery, and some more capsicums and chilli's.

Beetroot and spring onion seem to be doing the best of the existing crops.

As to the fish, they are going well. We have only lost one (that I know of), and that was because it jumped out of the tank during feeding and wasn't seen on the ground (I wasn't the one doing the feeding).

By my reckoning, some of them are ready to eat. The plan s to try to catch a couple of the bigger ones and eat them tomorrow night.

As with the previous video, the pipe in the bottom of the tank is 40mm (as a size comparison).

Looks pretty good Samward, but you could easily add some more plants to those beds, perhaps lettuce, parsley, chives and that way you will always have something to pick.

Thanks Faye.

I am still trying to find the right balance of how much and what to put in the grow beds.

So I was getting hungry, feeding the fish day in, day out. So I thought I would get my own back today... :)

So a trip out the back this morning with the net resulted in the following

With the largest of the lot being 439g (whole)

Add a bit of prosciutto, butter, sage and lemon, and you end up with

Very tasty.

One problem I did find was that there is obviously a fair bit of sediment on the bottom of my normally clear tank. After the first one was caught, the tank turned to pea soup. So there was a fair bit of pot luck involved in netting the other 2 (and a fair few false attempts).

Maybe after it all settles again, I'll have to get the syphon out and give it a bit of a vacuum.

I'm impressed Samward and 439g at this time of year is pretty good I would say.

Thanks guys and gals. :)

So we have planted out the GB's a bit more. Added snow pea's, french beans, corn, eggplant, basil, lettuce and a couple of heirloom tomato's.

The other two GB's.
