Which reminds me Helo, if you are mixing your own concrete for your wall, that would probibly be a good place to sequester the slag.

Thanks Ron, not mixing my own don't want to do that much work. I didn't have much of it, only put it in the first 2 grow beds I made. The rest where just river rock. I am hoping my PH will come down now also.

Well only had one fish die in the last almost 2 weeks. And that one was about a week ago, so I think things are doing better. Did another water change on my main tank again today and made a new pick up for my pump. The pump was just sitting on the bottom inside of a mesh bag, but now I hooked it up to some pvc pipe and made this. The slots where cut with a circular saw and they lay down on the bottom. This should pick up all the dirty stuff that was building up on the bottom middle of the tank.

The pump did not have a threaded part, so I had to use a dremel to open up the inside of a pvc pipe so it fit snug over the pump inlet.

Thats good news, hopefully the slag is what it was. What are you going to do with the slag now ?

A little update. Fish are doing great, the 25 I moved to the big tank all seem to be doing fine at least none are floating.

And I added a grow bed and a swirl filter to my green water tanks.

Helo... your photoshop skills suck! But your system is looking pretty cool. Just been going back on your thread a bit. Will be paying more attention now. Half just because I want to know whats under the blanked out bits
