Not the best pic of the bunch but shows all of them reasonably well, just after they were moved to the other tank..

Lot has happened since the last update..

2nd tank has been added, and 50 rainbows put in it 3 weeks ago..
All 3 filters are now working although will have to replace the bioballs in the moving bed filter with K1 or something, because they're not boyant.. (tried to save some $$)
Added a manual mineralisation drum to the swirl filter instead of the biodigestor I had planned, although I may still do that in the future with one of the spare blue barrels..
Added one of the 4 planned strawberry towers which is on a seperate pump with a timer, temporarily hung from a skyhook..
Made a wicking bed for carrots/salsify which is not yet plumbed in because it will go on the same pump as the strawberry towers.. will add 2 more soon..
Added a banana tree in a half barrel, not really visable in the pics as it's on the other side of the fence behind the triangle fold of shadecloth..
Also got a worm farm.. I was going to make one from barrels or crates or something I have laying around but it would probably have never got done.. At least now it's off the to-do list..

Here's a quick couple of shots of the tomatoes and what might eventually be my first strawberry..

Have finally added the planned DWC bed too, so the system finally is actually hybrid and not just media beds.. It's not finished, so it's not pretty.. but it works..

System has been a bit neglected lately, between school holidays, Pandoria coming out, and the inlaws moving house, I havn't had much time for the AP (and even less for the forums)..

There's been some growth on the new IBC bed, and I threw some corn in one of the BB beds a few weeks ago..

Finally pulled my finger out today and replaced some of the bolted silverbeet and threw a few leeks in, as well as pulling out 6 trout..

Ranged from 325g to 390g.. 1.7kg between em once they were gutted..

A couple pics of what happened to the first fish harvest..

Baked in the oven with lemon and butter after sprinkling with lemon pepper and garlic powder.. Forgot salt, it definately needed it.. some garlic chives from the AP over the top as well..

The lettuce and tomato in the salad were from the AP also, unfortunately the rest wasn't..

Turned out pretty good, although definately would have been better if they were purged..

Thx.. I saw your system videos yesterday and thought it was very similar, as far as capacity/layout goes, but a lot neater.. I also noticed the south aussie accent and looked up your location.. that's about as local as it gets for me with other APers..

It seems I havn't done a system update for a while.. I'll blame WoW for that..

Around the 30th of Oct I took out all of the remaining trout except one which I couldn't catch, but it was stressed so much it was floating the next day.. :(

A couple of days later I added 20 barra but the temps have been so screwy that they all got ick and/or white spot which I didn't catch early enough.. there's 16 left which are now in a seperate salted/heated tank but still not looking too good..

Another 25 SP arrived 15th November, 2 didn't seem to like the trip much so there's 23 left in an aquarium tank inside the house until they're big enough to join the others..

I've tried to get a shot of the corn from the same spot as the one above.. the raft bed behind it now has basil and cos lettuce in it.. I'll get a shot of the IBC bed when I give it a cleanup..

Got a couple of new pumps last week, and have some expansion planned..
