Today I added two more NFT channels to the LHS of my grow beds. This gives me 12 more plant spaces that will soon be filled up with Lettuce and Bok Choi. The Bok Choi in the picture below came from the RHS NFT channel and tasted great in the wifes chicken stir fry last night.

I have ordered and received a Claritec 5000 pressure filter and a Pondmax 3000 pump. These will be introduced into my NFT circuit next week and hopefully the pressure filter will remove any solids from my channel feed lines. The Pondmax 3000 can handle 8mm solids and hopefully will save me a little cleaning and be more reliable when I go on holidays, etc. My current pump which has worked without missing a beat, will be retired as a back up.

Last week I added some bird netting over the GB's in an attempt to keep out the large grass hoppers when they come... and come they will!

I thought this would be a good time to post some updated pics. Things are growing like crazy with warm temps and plenty of N available.

Nice pics Wal, I hear there are quite a few folks doing aquaponics in the Pilbara these days. Word is certainly spreading. :thumbright: That watercress looks fantastic, but mind that it doesn't take over.

Great jungle progress.... :thumbright:

So Wall, is it a fair bit cooler in amongst your veggies there? Looks like the sort of place you'd want to park a chair on a really hot day..

Nice setup Wal. Ex TP bloke myself, been mates with Belleye for ages too.

Got a question for ya... How have you got your watercress set up? My mrs is a kiwi and she loves the stuff, so would be keen to get some growing...

Sorry guys, have been offline for a while. I have (had) cress set up in NFT grow channels seeded into rockwool.

We are moving to Perth at end of year and are in the process of building a house in Roleystone. With that in mind I have sold all my tanks and grow media to a lady in TP who was interested in getting set up. I kept all my pumps and bits and pieces and will start again when we relocate.

Will post more when we get going....
