I have been looking at the new setup of the forum, and was wondering what is the best way to use it.

Now that there is a formal and an informal section, there are two "members systems" and "general system" sections what sort of stuff do we post to each section? I understand about the plant and fish sections, discussion in the informal section and facts/findings in the formal section (is this correct?).

If I am planning a system does it go in the informal section and when I start building it do I then make a new thread in the formal section? Where do I ask questions relating to said system, in the formal or informal section?

Can one of the mods please clarify this for me.

The way I see it is how you want your thread to go. In the informal section, you welcome discussion and banter etc. In the formal section, maybe you will be pissed if people keep hijacking your thread. Select accordingly.

How can I get my thread moved to the formal section ?

Hmmm. But if I'm in the formal section in the middle of a thread, I don't see anything that would remind me that this is where I am. And since I usually go through things using the New Posts function, I wouldn't know where I was--Formal-Land or Informal-Land. Am I missing something? I'd hate to show up wearing my clown-suit when evening attire is required.

Had me worried last night...I could only find two systems and mine wsn't one of them.

Janet, when you go into a thread from the new posts section, at the top of the thread page, just above the first post, it will tell you where you are, whether your in the formal or informal section..
