Pulled another 5 out Friday arvo, nothing to brag about, nothing over the magic 250gm mark, but all just below. They will be dinner this week.

I poked my head over the tank for a proper look yesterday arvo and mine seem a lot bigger than they were my last video. Some actually surprised me.

I guess switching to the 5mm (? Maybe 7mm) feed and the fact that they regularly smash about 2.5 fists full of the feed has really pushed their grow along.

Next time I video I will put a reference marker of known length in the tank to get an estimate of their size. I guess i could just use the distance between ibc bars.

I dare not screw around with catching, measuring, and releasing.

Wipped this baby out on Friday afternoon!

The last one that I pulled out (euthanased) on 22 May was only 250g (Check out my thread for the pictures). 10 weeks later and they are up around 600- 750+ gms

Nicely done Marc :thumbright: I didn't know Gav had advanced fingerlings at 150mm, might have to try some of those next year. What did you give for them ?

Thanks Mathew. Not as big as those monsters you pulled from your system earlier on in the year :notworthy:

Same as what Gavin is asking again this year. I will certainly be getting them again next year. One fish is feeding 2 of us at the moment, so I'm real pleased.

Its getting a tad stressful with 16-18 kg of fish in the 1000l tank (hooked up to a 4000l tank and nearly 3000l of growbed). I test every second day and when I think things aren't "normal".

No way would I take these into late spring and warm weather - I think the stress would kill me :D

There is an easy solution to your "problem" Marc..... :eat:

Got a fair while to go yet .....

But I would be tempted to keep 6 - 9 for a few months yet . They would be going 1 1/2 by then... :D

Keep at least 6 , I had 3 in a small tank , 2 picked on 1 , when there was 2 , 1 picked on the other until there was just 1.

Taadaa, here is one that we harvested last night, not a bad size. I think they arrived at Easter, so 19 weeks I estimate. I think this one was named "Jaws" as he was possibly the biggest in the tank. So how are all your trout coming along guys!

Nat is under instructions to post photos, so we shall have to just wait and see.
