I only asked because I was wondering if when you are in the pool does it get a bit cloudy from stirring up the bottom ?

Ah, yes. If we walk around in there it does stir up the bottom. We have a ladder for getting in and out and try to just swim in there-without kids (ours are all grown up) we really just dip in to cool off in summer then get straight out so it isn't an issue for us, but would be if people wanted to lounge around in the pool for longer and certainly would be if kids were in there.

We seem to be getting more and more paranoid about "germs" and "nasties"
We have supermarket shelves full of cleaning products all claiming to get rid of 99% of germs (that contain toxic chemicals like triclosan etc)

Maintaining our immune systems is far more important than making sure every bacteria in a 100m radius from us is dead.

I was at a niece's house last weekend and got hit in the face with an aerosol dispensing who knows what. I defused it while nobody was looking, and hid the spray pack behind the fridge.

I'm guessing it will be a year before anyone even notices. That's a year of breathing normal air for her two kids. :)

It turns out the thing is battery operated, and set to dump every x minutes.

The world's gone nuts.

Yeah I reckon. The deodorisers are bad enough (esters... not good)
But the ones that spray fly spray all day in the house !!! wtf are they thinking ?
Esters are bad for you and you shouldn't breath them in, but fly spray is poison, specifically designed to kill things :dontknow:
