One of my favorites way of eating fish is Beer Batter Fish Fry. It can be fillets, or in case of Crappies and other fish that size, I clean them inside and outside, cut head and tail off, then dunk them in my batter, and then drop them in hot peanut oil. That is the wow wow good!

Now, that is what I am talking about. Looks great Charlie. That picture made me so hungry!
Did you add garlic powder and pepper to it?

I do add some habanero pepper powder. garlic powder, onion powder, and a little baking powder to the batter.

And here is a nice piece of wild pigs around our area. For them, hunting season is open all year.

All this food is making me hungry... Is that a dumpling with the pork or a big potato?

Just to go back to the original thread question...

I actually prefer to crumb my fish... rather then "batter" them...

I love beer battered anything, just don't like the cleanup. I want a BYAP beer cozy! I remember when I was about three years old, my mom would beer batter fish, and I loved it. Then she decided to cook the fish healthy... I stopped eating fish until my now mother in law made me some. I ate it to be polite, then I realized that I like fish, just not my parents cooking! All that fresh wild salmon wasted on me because my parents could not prepare fish decently... :upset:

I think it is actually a beer chilly Ranmaggi, Aussie blokes don't like it when their beer gets warm so they insulate it with a cool drink holder, aka known as a stubby holder, cause that is ofetn what they drink - a stubby - beer in squat bottle.
