Well I wanted to Introduce myself I was recommended this site from a guy that lives in washington on another forum.

I am new to gardening in general. I started with a raised bed system in the back yard with tomatoes, peppers, some herbs, collards and Pumpkins.

I also started seeds for hydroponic system as the winters here get cold and long. so I wanted something I can move in the garage.

I kept reading and watching videos on Youtube about Aquaponic and being I have had fish for 13 or the last 14 years I decided to go this route. also in the garage with a small system and I will move to a bigger covered system in the back yard with an IBC or 2. I been doing alot of reading and I already started on the small system...

so far I have a spare 30 gallon fish tank and I will have 18l clear tubs set above the tank to pump water up and free fall down with Independent pipes from each tub...

I will start this one with Lava rock and see how it does. I have seedlings growing and still waiting on some to sprout but i will load that system with the seedlings...

I am so far into this system for about 15 bucks with the tubs and lava rock. I have spares from my reef tank I took down due to moving 3 times in 2 years. do I have a bunch of spare pipe pumps lights.

I will upload photos of what I got going so far.

I want to have the water running tomorrow to get the cycling started I will put a piece of raw table shrimp to kick start the cycle...

thanks I been doing A LOT of reading and Already plan on getting a IBC or 2 to set up out back for the winter it to me is cold year round here. I am a desert rat I am originally from Las Vegas transplanted to Washington the good there is an abundance of water
