I did, and the ones I read there (not that I read them all) were people being busted where it was illegal.

Please SV, give people a little more credit, you are using this purely yet again, as another segway into "peoples personal liberties being taken away, ban all government, ban legislation, libertarianism is great."

Last topic was a dig at environmentalists to push your cause, now you are using a totally different topic but you still have the same agenda.

Not SWAT... but described as SWAT style (my mistake to say SWAT), either way armed raids against people selling milk is pretty outrageous. Maybe they had raw milk in water pistols :laughing3:

Most people on this forum produce food, and many produce food to sell. I am all for the small guy trying to compete in the food industry, ESPECIALLY the wholesome, nutritious traditional style ways of producing food. It bothers me to see how the Agri-Business/Govt marriage is making it harder and harder for the small guy.

Its not actually illegal to sell raw milk here. You can buy it from the Perth organics Web site but its sold as "not for human consumption" for" bathing or cosmetic milk as recommended by the Australian health department."  :thumbleft:

Yeah, there is actually a goat dairy selling milk in a popular health chain in Brisbane as fit for consumption (with risk label). However they are "under review".
I guess people who know what they want can eventually find the bath milk type products and "assume" its fit for consumption (which it probably is). Makes it hard to introduce new people to the claimed health benefits of it though..

Did this take place in California? If so than I would not be surprised. That is one screwed up state, and is actually more like a different country. It is a beautiful state, but man there laws and law makers are screwed up bad.

It took place in pennsylvania.

It is aginst US laws to sell raw milk.

I sometimes go to my friend, he walks away from his barn. I take the milk myself and get going. He even does not want to be around when I go pick up some milk. And of course I do not pay him.

And what they really have done has nothing to do with health issues. It is control. That is what world order is all about.

The link that came up when I typed in raw milk was from California. I think in Texas raw milk can be sold, but not postive. I know it takes place a lot. Of course I am not supposed to sell eggs, chickens, or tiliapia without a lincense. Oh well.

DO WE DESERVE THE RIGHT TO CHOOSE?

Is the title of this thread.

So if you have the right to choose, I think it's only fair that you must take on the
responsibility of that choice.

If you supply the raw milk and a small child dies from E.Coli poisoning from your milk
what would that be Negligent manslaughter?

Quote:
On July 16, 2008, the Connecticut Department of Public Health identified two unrelated children who had experienced hemolytic uremic syndrome after consuming raw milk from the same farm. The authors investigated the situation further and found more cases of people affected by raw milk from the same farm.

Fourteen cases were identified and seven were confirmed. The E. coli found in a fecal sample from one of the dairy cows at the farm matched the outbreak strain.

Or would you be complaining bitterly when one of your victims sues you for 2.4 million dollars
and you loose your farm.

Quote:
"Farms risk losing a lot, including the farm, for the few dollars more they get when selling raw milk. There is currently a lawsuit in Washington for $2.4 million as a result of raw milk illness, so there is a liability when an illness can be traced to a farm. We wear seatbelts because they have been proven to reduce injuries and deaths in auto accidents. Pasteurization does the same thing as it relates to public health and consuming milk.

Quote:
It also led to the insurance industry re-evaluating the provision of product liability insurance to retail stores and milk producers that sell raw milk."

I actually think it's all about health issues as is shown from the above articles.

The Governments regulates many things that are considered dangerous:
ie:
chemicals and pesticides
automobile safety devices
road laws
Occupational health and safety issues. and so on.

It doesn't do it for some World Order Conspiracy, it does it because there aren't
enough hospital beds otherwise

and we elect a Government to provide a safe community.

Not unless he forced the small child to drink it. What if you feed a child a peanut that is allergic to peanuts. Should you get Negligent manslaughter? There is a risk to everything in life, even vaccinations. Should the company that makes vaccinations or the government that forces them on us be held for negligent manslaughter for the kids that get sick from the vaccinations? They know for a fact that a certain percentage of kids will get sick and die from them, but they still make them.
